The first record of golf on North Inch was in 1599 (425 years ago), although we believe that golf has been played on the North Inch park for more than 500 years and it is one of the world’s oldest golfing venues.  Lying within the North Inch parkland on the banks of the river Tay, the North Inch golf course offers an enjoyable challenge to players of all abilities. The course played on today, had it's origins in the early 1860's when play moved more Northward from the original 6-hole layout played on the southern end of the park.  It has had many changes, increasing from 6 to 10, then 12, before becoming 18 holes.  Part of the current layout was designed by Old Tom Morris in 1892 and being only a short iron shot from the classical Georgian City of Perth, this historic course is no more than an hours’ drive away for most Scottish golfers.  The North Inch Golf Course offers some of the best value golf in Perthshire and is open to visiting golfers 7 days a week.
