Perth Railway Golf Club
The Perth railway golf club has been established since 1926, on the 3rd March 1926 an application was submitted for affiliation to the Perth and County Golfing Association to make the North Inch our home course for playing our competitions.
The first trophy ever played for by the Perth railway golf club was the Bisset & Stewart cup donated to the section on the 29-1-1926 this trophy is still played for to this day. Throughout the years many more trophies have been donated to the golf section our newest being the Kilmac Cup played for for the first time this year, throughout the season we compete for a total of 24 trophies in varying formats from matchplay and strokeplay to stableford and boogie competitions.
We have an annual outing to a designated course voted on by the players at our AGM.
We are a small friendly club and at present we have 24 members but we would like to welcome new players into the section so whether you are a new golfer looking for an SGU handicap or an experienced player looking for a new challenge. When becoming a member of the golf section you also have to become a member of the RSAS club situated on the Fues road in Perth, the cost of a membership for for the club is £10 reducing over a 2 year period to £5.00. The committee, Michelle and the rest of the staff will make you very welcome, The club also has entertainment every Saturday night for the members this gives you a chance to get your dancing shoes on and strut your stuff or just to relax and have a drink and take in the atmosphere around you.
