North Inch Junior Golf Club

Going into its 3rd year, North Inch Junior Golf Club is fully affiliated to Scottish Golf. The club is here to create a pathway for our young golfers through the sport and to provide the opportunity to play competitions and gain an official handicap.

Run by volunteers from the clubs who play at the North Inch and supported by the golf course staff, the aim is to have a full calendar of events throughout the year that are fun, engaging and challenging for all ages and abilities!

Juniors will have the chance to play on our 6 hole short course before progressing onto our new "Blue" course where they will be able to play 9 or 18 holes and gain an official golf handicap!

Club Hire Scheme

Members of the North Inch Junior Golf Club will also be able to take advantage of our long-term club hire scheme.  For just £25 junior members will be able to take away their very own set of golf clubs for the entire season!

These can then be swapped for a larger set as they grow out of them meaning that all of our junior members will have access to suitable, properly fitted equipment at all times!

CODES OF CONDUCT

The great news is that it doesn’t cost anything to join the NIJGC.  But to join, members have to show that they have read and agree to follow the Code of Conduct, which sets out what kind of behaviour is expected when attending the Club.

This is because it is essential that the club is a well run and safe place where everybody feels happy and secure, and the way that we behave affects other people.

Parent/guardians will also be asked to complete a form to supply information which will ensure that the club knows how to respond and who to contact etc in the case of any emergency.

We won’t just be asking the Junior Members to sign that they will agree to abide by their Code of Conduct – there will be a Code of Conduct for the organisers, helpers and coaches and one for the parents/ guardians.

SAFEGUARDING

We are following all the Scottish Golf advice on making golf clubs a safe place for young people. The organisers and coaches have all undergone Safeguarding training and are members of the PVG scheme. There are policies and procedures in place to ensure good practice.

The Safeguarding Officer is Christine Partridge who can be contacted by emailing safeguarding.NIJuniorGC@gmail.com or in person at club sessions.  Please let her know if you have any concerns at all about the wellbeing of anyone at the Club or any questions about safeguarding matters.
